Mission Statement:
Our mission is to bring awareness of domestic violence, raise funds to provide education, and to promote healthy and happy relationships.
The Carol Rivest Memorial Foundation is a growing non-profit organization that raises money and awareness to fulfill our company’s mission. We strive to educate, empower, and donate to our local communities through our work. Please join us in our effort to raise awareness of domestic violence and abuse. Proceeds from our annual benefit event will benefit Asnuntuck Community College Women’s Enrichment program in Enfield CT, Womanshelter/ Companeras in Holyoke, MA and The Palmer Domestic Violence Task Force. All agencies work with and for victims and their families, providing support and shelter. Most importantly these wonderful agencies educate the community to help recognize, fight against and end domestic violence.

Meet our Director:
Sheila Rivest
Director
Sheila Rivest, is currently employed by Gentiva/Kindred homecare services as a Behavioral Health RN. She is a proud mother of two adult children. Sheila’s older sister Carol Diane Rivest was shot and killed by her estranged boyfriend in May of 1982.
Sheila has become a strong speaker and advocate for victims of intimate partner violence. Her presentation has been received at numerous events where victims and offenders can hear about the lives left behind after a homicide. Sheila speaks about what led up to the tragedy and also the role the judicial system played in her understanding of what occurred. She shares with audience members that Carol was so much more than a victim of domestic violence homicide.
