Thank you Alianza for honoring me with the first Allies in action award. I am so grateful to Carmen Nieves and Pamela Barnes for the kind words and recognition of our partnership. Pam also went above and beyond by researching and speaking to other agencies our foundation is involved with. As the director of The Carol Rivest Foundation I am fortunate to meet amazing, caring and inspiring people. I also have a fantastic team working with the foundation. Thank you Kim McClintock for your surprise and heartwarming speech. I love you and am blessed to have you on our board and part of my life. I also want to thank all who have supported the Carol Rivest Foundation. We are making a difference. Carol is not a statistic. She was a beautiful young woman whose life is making a difference. This year our goal is to provide love, self confidence and support to the children affected by domestic violence. Children learn what they live. Choose love. Everyone deserves love, respect and dignity.
